We actually took this trip last year so it has become somewhat of a tradition. Here's how the tradition goes: Wednesday we eat lunch at in-n-out, shop at H&M, and have dinner at BJ's. Thursday we head down to the American Girl store and spend almost the entire day there. This place is a doll's dream. They have everything miniature that a doll could ever want, and it only costs a small fortune. It is pretty amusing to watch the girls fill their bags up with all their favorite outfits and then sit down and try them on their doll until they find the perfect one (or two, thanks to grandma!). Meri meets us with her girls and we have lunch at the cafe. When we get back to Meri's, the girls run downstairs and set up American Girl world and play the rest of the night and we finish off the day with Tito's tacos for dinner!
And of course we can't go to southern California without spending a day at Disneyland. This year we got tickets to Mickey's Halloween party and I am so glad we did! This is definitely the way to do Disneyland. Less crowds, trick-or-treating, spooky music, a villain parade, fireworks, costumes, and a huge bag of candy! We hardly had to wait in any lines, it was awesome!
